Drive to the other side of the island and discover endless deserted beaches and windswept lagoons. Make sure to observe the beach condition flags when swimming over here.  Visit the lighthouse, nesting lagoons and see crocodiles in the stunning ecological preserve at Punta Sur.  Also available are nightime tours during the summer to watch the sea turtles lay their eggs and the babies emerge from the sand and make their way to the ocean.  On the island you will also find a world class golf course, dolfin encounters and Mayan ruins.
Shop at Cinco Soles at the north end of the town of San Miguel. They have a large selection of pewter, glassware, gift items, Mexican art, a thousand brands of tequila, Mexican furniture, etc.
